Each season, our Creative Production Team are busy delivering innovative and inspirational content in the form of photography and video assets. These are utilised across social media, partner websites, store windows and in-store POS by franchisees around the world. This vast global reach and drive towards digital makes Mothercare an energising brand to be a part of.

From planning campaigns and creating assets to developing packaging and building narratives, our responsibilities are varied and often collaborative. Global Product

DESIGN TEAM

As a global company, we support families around the world with our mix of innovative and purposeful products across children’s clothing, nursery, pushchairs and more. Product design and creativity play an important part in this, while decades of parenting expertise position our brand as a trusted competitor in the babywear market.

For our fantastic team of designers, each day brings something different. From discussing moodboards and trend direction to developing fabrics and shapes, we spend a lot of time collaborating and sharing ideas to create exciting, new products alongside the Merchandising and Buying teams.

BUYING TEAM

Supporting parents and children is Mothercare’s purpose, and our team of buyers are always looking for the perfect products to help do just that. Working with the Product Design Team to capture trends, we negotiate with suppliers to source clothing, toys and more, providing families with everything they need from day one of their journey.

While some needs are universal, many vary between countries, so it’s important that we build relationships with our partners around the world to understand how other cultures shop. Alongside exposure to different categories and specialist collections, this provides a unique opportunity to gain experience from a growing franchise business.

From season to season, our Merchandising Team are busy planning exciting ranges across a diverse product offering. Though much of our work is detailed and data-orientated, we also look at the big picture and utilise partner insights to meet different cultural and climatic needs, and to match global trends.

Working in a creative environment, we collaborate with a fantastic team of buyers and designers to create cohesive, balanced and profitable ranges. From there, we are responsible for placing the global order book with our manufacturing partners and managing the availability of our many product categories in line with the critical path. With stock moving all year round, it’s a big task but it’s rewarding to help deliver our brand to a global audience.

Managing the creation and processing of all global orders, our team is a busy and integral part of the business. Working closely with the Supply Chain Team, we help ensure all shipments reach our franchise partners on time.

In order to achieve our end goal, we regularly liaise with the Product Design Team to confirm range information before uploading to the relevant ordering systems. With stock moving year-round, it’s a big task to ensure all orders are processed in line with the critical path but it’s rewarding to help deliver our brand to a global audience.

With over 700 stores across more than 30 markets, the Commercial Team are at the heart of our relationships with our global partners. As a key point of contact, we engage with and learn from them to understand their markets and help drive sales and profitability, ensuring a stable and sustainable business partnership.

This knowledge makes our team specialists in forecasting trade, based on varying factors around the world. With our support, the business can better navigate change while looking for opportunities to not only make the “big, bigger”, but also expand into new markets or channels. Doing so, we can take the Mothercare brand and adapt it for our franchise partners. In essence, we think global and act local.
